May 9, 2026The Focus Africa invites you to the Leading and Emerging Women Conference, an annual event series designed to connect, empower, and support African women in leadership, business, and governance.
The 2026 conference is scheduled for June 24 – 25, in Abuja Nigeria, with theme “Women Helping Women – Tech, Entrepreneurship, Investment, and Health Management”.
The Focus Africa annual summits highlight technology, investment, health management, and entrepreneurship to accelerate women’s roles in the continents development.
Our mission is to bridge the gender gap, fostering mentorship between established and emerging leaders, and providing seed capital for businesses.
Focus Africa leads the United Nations Gender Priority Strategy, promoting gender diversity and sustainable development goals (SDGs)
At this event, we will recognise 100 Leading women in Africa with the “Focus Africa Decade of Significance Award” for their roles in uplifting their communities.
In the last 10 years, this event have connected women from across Africa, including representatives from Kenya, Uganda, Nigeria, Sierra Leone, Morocco, Gambia, Zimbabwe, South Africa Kenya, South Sudan, Libya, Egypt and many more.
Our major focus has been on Women Supporting Women (WSW) to break biases in the workplace and boardroom and to give them platforms that hepls them release the power within.
Previous editions has held in Abuja Nigeria, Kigali, Rwanda Cadablanca Morocco, Yaounde Cameroon, Nairobi Kenya, Juba South Sudan, Addis Ababa Ethiopia, In other 17 locations across Africa. Participants often include government officials, first ladies, business leaders, and entrepreneurs.
